The default setting is that your emails are sent in the same email thread to the recipient. However, there is an option to change this to better suit your communication strategy.

Advantages and disadvantages of the email thread

Keeping the email thread:

  • The recipient can easily follow the communication in the same thread.
  • All relevant information is gathered, which makes it easier for the reader.
  • The recipient can see directly how many emails you have sent before.

Removing the email thread:

  • If you choose not to send the emails in the same thread, you can customize the subject line for each email, which may increase the chance of catching the recipient's attention.
  • You get an extra chance to use your lead in LeadPilot, and can try different variations of your introductory email.
  • There is a risk that the recipient misses or accidentally archives the first email, which means that essential information can be lost in follow-up emails.

How to remove the email thread from your workflow:

  1. Select the relevant segment
  2. Click on "Segment settings"
  3. Go to "Email"
  4. Uncheck the box that says "Use same email thread"
